Twyford’s has been an established memorial business in Wilmslow for over 100 years and during the last few months has undergone a transformation to expand the business to include a Funeral Home. We are an independent family run Funeral Directors and Monumental Masons business, offering the highest level of professionalism, with a guarantee of the best attention and expertise in satisfying and responding to all our customers’ needs.
Twyford’s will now offer a complete Funeral Service from its’ premises at 119 Manchester Road, Wilmslow which includes a new purpose built Chapel of Rest and Family Room. Floral and Catering services can also be provided on request, and a new comprehensive display area is available for the continued sale of memorials. By offering all these services from one location, we can now present a complete Funeral Package to customers and relieve the stress of making funeral arrangements at a time when families are grieving the loss of a loved one.
Our general manager is Trevor Turner, who has worked along side the family for many years. Derek Herald having lived locally for many years has been appointed the Home’s Funeral Director, he and his dedicated team of Conductors and Funeral Operatives look forward to being part of the local Wilmslow Community.
At their modern facility, Twyford’s aim to deliver both traditional, and sometimes a more modern approach to funeral services, each service being tailored to customer’s needs. Twyford’s have considered many Pre-paid Funeral Plans before choosing Golden Charter who work closely with “Help the Aged” to provide better planning for the individual’s future.
Twyford’s will continue to offer a complete service for existing memorials, additional inscriptions, repair, maintenance and cleaning work within Cemeteries and Burial Grounds across East Cheshire and South Manchester together with our highly popular Memorial Maintenance Scheme.
The sale of new memorials will continue to be offered to customers who can view the show area and receive professional guidance to help them choose the most appropriate memorial. As Members of The National Association of Memorial Masons (NAMM) we employ five Memorial fixers, all of whom are BRAMM (British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons) qualified to fix to the NAMM Code of Working Practice and to satisfy all Health and Safety requirements. All work to new and existing memorials is carried out to the highest professional standard and all services and craftsmanship are guaranteed.
The “New” Twyford’s was formally launched on Wednesday 5th August 2009 when Sue Saville the President of the National Association of Funeral Directors officially opened the Funeral Home along with Councillor Crockatt and Canon Roger Yates blessed the Chapel of Rest.
